From the Principal's Desk

Hello and Welcome to the Spring Semester!

This is such a wonderful time of year as we cherish the final moments our seniors are creating on their journey toward graduation. Each day brings new milestones, exciting announcements, and important opportunities for our students.

We encourage you to remind your students to check their emails regularly for valuable information regarding college acceptances, scholarship opportunities, and other important updates. We will continue celebrating our students' successes by sharing college acceptances and scholarship recipients as we receive them!

We also invite you to take part in the parent nights being held throughout the semester. These events provide valuable insights and support as we navigate key decisions about each student’s graduation plans. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns—we are here to help every step of the way!

Let’s make this semester a great one. Be the BEST YOU!

INDUSTRY CERTIFICATION

Industry Certification for Healthcare Science in Georgia (GADOE) refers to the official recognition granted by the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE) to healthcare science programs that meet rigorous industry standards. This certification ensures that Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) healthcare science programs align with current industry expectations, workforce needs, and best practices in the healthcare field.

Key Components of Industry Certification for Healthcare Science in Georgia:

Alignment with Industry Standards – Programs must follow curriculum guidelines that reflect healthcare industry expectations, including skills in patient care, medical terminology, safety protocols, and professionalism.

High-Quality Instruction – Educators must hold proper certifications and industry experience, ensuring students receive real-world, up-to-date training.

Work-Based Learning Opportunities – Programs often include clinical experiences, job shadowing, and internships in healthcare settings to provide hands-on training.

State-of-the-Art Equipment & Labs – Schools must maintain modern medical equipment, simulation labs, and technology to support practical learning.

Industry Partnerships – Collaboration with local hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals enhances student training and employment readiness.

Certification & Credentialing for Students – Programs prepare students for industry-recognized certifications, such as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), CPR/First Aid, and Medical Administrative Assistant credentials, increasing their employability after graduation.

Benefits of Industry Certification for Schools & Students:

Schools receive official recognition for maintaining high program standards.

Students gain competitive advantages by earning industry credentials before entering the workforce or pursuing further education.

Employers trust graduates from certified programs, improving job placement rates.

Service Projects

Loads of Love

TCHS Student Council members put their hearts into action with Loads of Love, a special initiative to support middle school students in need. Each student council member received a list and a budget to shop for one of 20 students—10 from each middle school—carefully selecting 2-3 essential items and 2-3 wish-list items for each recipient. Through their efforts, student council members not only provided much-needed supplies but also brought a little extra joy to these middle school students' lives. This community service project was a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. #4theT #LetsGrowTogether #LoadsofLove
